COZUMEL WEDDING REQUIREMENTS

Below is a description of the necessary requirements to be married in Mexico.

A valid passport.
Everyone involved in the legal ceremony must present copies of the visa/immigration documents received upon arrival in Mexico.
A Mexican doctor here in Cozumel must do blood type and VDRL tests. If you would like to take them in your own country, a Mexican doctor must certify the tests. This will entail an extra charge.
All blood samples must be taken within 20 days of the wedding date.
Four witnesses to the civil ceremony must be present. They must be 18 or older. All witnesses need a valid passport and a copy of a valid passport.
All documents must be received in Cozumel at least five days before your wedding.

Cruise Ship Passengers:

You can be married legally on your one-day stop on Cozumel. What do we mean? Before you begin your trip, you will prepare and send to us all required documents, so that when you get here, the only thing you have to do is enjoy your wedding and your time in the beautiful island of Cozumel. Included in these documents are the respective tourist visas from the bride and the groom, and four witnesses. The cost per visa per person is $25.00 USD.
